    JBC3CIII engine question.

Anyone know if there were any great differences between the Leyland 4/98 engine in my TLB and the 4/98 engines used the Leyland farm tractors like the 270? According to the specs I can find they are both the 4/98 NT. I may have a line on one. Thanks Rick

US parts source for used parts? I'm looking at either replacing the engine (Leyland 4/98) or an in frame. I only use it 100-200 hours a year on average so spending money on a replacement doesn't seem like a good idea. Rick

    JCB 3CIII Leyland 4/98 engine

Well I think I am going to have to finally break down and do something about the engine in my JCB. Don't know if I can find a good running replacement or if I'm going to have to rebuild it. Thing is I don't use it much. Maybe 100-200 hours a year. That means that I really don't want to dump a...

    Cool old truck

A friend of mine inherited what we now think is a 1926 Chevy truck. His grandfather parked it in the shed where the picture was taken in 1967 right before he passed away and the truck hasn't moved sense. The missing door in in the bed. After doing a little research we found out...

    Safety?

Have a good safe 4th of July holiday everyone. Be careful around the BBQ grill, don't drink and drive (you might spill your drink), watch out for drunks on the road. Remember you water and boating safety if that's on the agenda and most important be careful with fireworks! Rick

    Jobs on bid question.

OK, I served from 74-96, US Army. I have a lot of first hand user experience with stuff made/built by the lowest bidder. So other than a company/local/state/fed government saving a little money does the bid system help or hurt that quality of the finished project? I have stories but I'm...

Seeking advice on possible skid steer purchase.

I'm thinking about buying a skid steer for the farm. Intended work would include feeding, loading and unloading round bales at 1800 to 2000 pounds, some dirt work but nothing real heavy as I have a TLB and manure loading. Reasonable distance to dealers that have a good reputation of support...

Follow up on rock picking. 1 pic

Finished today. Lot of rocks. I had one that was too big to get out so as suggested I dug deep and rolled it in. Got about 4' of dirt on top of it now. The guy in the photo is my nephew who is working at taking over the family farm in the future. The old JBC is showing it's age but it got...
