90 Bronco, aut. shifter on column, F-350, ZF 6spd, manual SHO, 6spd auto, manual shift is paddles on wheel. I can get into some interest physical configurations attempting to get a vehicle to change gears -

Have you seen the medical folks? I had that typed of pain a few years ago, when it hit I would almost go to the floor. broken wire detector thoughts
I have a cheapo that injects a signal. follow down the wire with the Receiver, no beep then you are in the vicinity of the open. If it is a short should be able to follow burn trail. -
