    Ways to thaw frozen material

How much digging are you doing? I dig graves and during the winter we have to cook the ground to dig through everything and we use 4-5 bags of charcoal and then put a lid on it thats the size of a grave. It thaws everything out over night and its eaiser to dig in than during the summer. I'm...

    Hourly rate or "contract"?

First off there was nothing at all said about moving machines in or out or anything along those lines or even transporting spoils or anything past moving 100 yards. So C.D. in that aspect I don't think that I'm missing something. The statements that were made were bluntly I charge this an hour...

    Skiddy with snow pusher

I work outside of the chicago land area and have an 1845c that I'm planning on putting to work with snow removal this year. I'm in a nutshell wondering is a 10' snow pusher too big for this machine? Machine will always be trailered and 10' wide on a trailer in the snow would be an issue but I...

I've got an 1845c and luckily after the job I was doing was done I was moving the machine around and did a wheelie in the process and shortly turned the machine off to talk to someone immediately afterwards. When I started the machine back up there is somewhat of a whine or hissing coming from...

    grading techniques

i always like to take some lathe and either black marker or marking tape and every 20 feet or so or if you need it closer do that since your looking for a tighter grade, but mark your lathe at grade and fill to that. keep your bucket full of dirt and throttle up and start pushing.
