    700J LGP or D51PX-22

Hi guys, Its been awhile since I have been on HEF and I have a delima. I am going to retire my D6H from my fleet and replace it with a smaller machine. The old girl has 22,000ish hrs on her and gives me very little trouble. I am a land improvement contractor and will be using this tractor from...

    .....Fuel......

Fuel oil and Diesel Fuel are not the same. Fuel oil looks and smells similar but the flash point is lower and closer to Kerosene. It is used for home heating because it burns cleaner and the gelling properties are lower. Our Winter Blended fuel is a ratio of 60-40 to prevent gelling and aid...

    Frustrated!!! D6R wont start

C-9 Starting Issues Well you wont believe me but you need to change your engine oil. I have an 2004 D6RII that would spit and sputter and not start when it was cold out. After $3000 dollars of injectors and three days of a field service tech on the phone to his guru's the solution was to run a...

This is why all of us need good insurance!!!

Nedly05, ya I found a site that is super easy to use, 30 day free trial, and cost very little so I thought I would give it a shot. Some people have told me the background made it hard to read, did you have a problem? Going out this morning to push it onto the lowboy to get it to the dealer...

This is why all of us need good insurance!!!

7:30 am Thursday morning my day didn't start out so well. The transmission on the lowboy truck to a crap when I was moving the last machine onto the job site. I managed to get there at 25 mph, so with that weighing on my mind I wanted to get started making money rather than spending it...

So, what about them Steiger tractors??

I have been around Steiger tractors since I was a kid. In their time they were second to none. Big power, roomy cabs, and a huge fuel tank would let you work for many non stop hours. I use my PT 350 to pull my pan, there nothing like the sound from a 903 cummins with a big chrome strait pipe!

magnetic laser receivers for excavator dipper

They work nice but its not going to get you as close on basements or footings as you think, you need an actual receiver designed for excavators for that. Besides you can always blame the guy with the stick when things go wrong. LOL
