Deere 872D Dash Panel on/ off and now dynamites the park brake

Why cant every machine just come with a full electrical diagram as standard alongside the operators manual. I think you your best friend needs to be a multimeter. But I dare say you need to be looking further back. Even right back to the earths. Then figure out how the power is supplied from...

Volvo L20F single lever controls, 3rd function in-op

Bit too much for me to wrap my head around at the moment. But, am I right in thinking that all the solenoids are being powered all the time? Therefore the 3rd function is trying to do everything which in fact means it is doing nothing? Tried disconnecting back to a single solenoid and seeing if...

Cummins 4BT(?) no crank, voltage good, started a week ago.

Have you tested the voltage to the red wire with the spade connector with ignition on and off?

Cummins 4BT(?) no crank, voltage good, started a week ago.

I agree with that. Or at least that's the way I would do it without even thinking anything other. May as well clean up the battery positive post and the terminal lead while you at. Keeping good track of the washers while you do.

    Grader wheel hop

First up I know nothing about plowing snow. Don't even get the stuff where I am in outback Australia. But operating a grader at those speeds for anything other than travel is mind blowing to me. 19 KmH would be bad enough but I guess you are talking MPH which is even more insane. Have you tried...

Cat 140H Serial Prefix 5HM in Australia

Thanks Cmark. I reckon the Brazilian climate would be ideal to kickstart the rusting process. My climate, thankfully, slows the oxidation process almost to a halt. This machine looks pretty clean as far as I can see.

Cat 140H Serial Prefix 5HM in Australia

Thanks. That’s good to hear. It’s a bit hard to figure out Cat serial numbers. So maybe 5hm is series 1 and CCA is series 2 by the sounds. This 5hm is series 1 configuration by the looks.

Cat 140H Serial Prefix 5HM in Australia

Hi everyone. I am just chasing any advice on 140H's with the 5HM prefix in Australia. I think these machines are manufactured in Brazil. Is there any issues around parts availability or any other hidden problems with owning a machine with this prefix in Aus? Any input appreciated. Thanks
