Volvo excavators: In 1991 the venerable (Started in 1939) Åkerman company became part of Volvo, in 1997 the machines was introduced with Volvo stickers and color. 1998 Volvo bought out Samsung's excavator production and the next year Volvo branded machines were being built in Korea. Volvo made...

2 Volvo L70F wheel loaders pimped out by Swecon (Who sell Volvo CE equipment in Sweden) are being auctioned out. They have been shown of at expos and worked at Monster Jam and the Swedish touring car championship races. Painted in black with chrome details they should be real chick magnets...

    volvo

As tctractos say ... Volvos come from a different world then Caterpillar. The domestic market, even though it is a tiny thing for Volvo nowadays being that they are #3 in the world, is demanding. Operators expect and demand topnotch cabs and companies are willing to pay for it cause a worn...

The clutch was stuck and they were trying to get it unstuck. Trying different gears to find one there the starter was strong enough turn the engine and get the clutch unstuck. As seen in the videos they had to resort to using a tractor (A Case) and a later a Dodge to pull the grader while...

    veekmas rg 281

As MKTEF already said Veekmas is Finnish. Patria Vammas might be better known as a maker of military apcs under the brand Patria. Vammas also make heavy duty snowremoval equipment for airports. The Swedish factory of Veekmas/Vammas company once made the Mattson graders (Ex Norverk I...

    Volvo G946 pics

Last time I saw a Volvo grader was at the annual construction equipment expo here in Sweden and the Volvo guy was pointing out that the engine was installed in a way that allowed for an easy and quick exchange to a new engine. Mattsson is an old swedish brand built in Uddevalla on the west coast I do belive they were called Nordverk earlier, in the early 90is they were bought by the finnish Vammas which in turn recently was bought by the other finnish grader manufacturer Veekmas.

    Wheeled excavators.

*Shrugs* Without having any hard numbers I would say most wheeled excavators got blades here. See the picture of the Caterpillar I posted Which does come without forward legs though. Åkerman did have legs forward (Over the steering wheels) and dozerblade backwards and every (true) swedish...

    Wheeled excavators.

You need to equip a wheeled excavator properly to get its full potential. Rototilt (With a grapple) is a must and a dumptrailer is useful/needed.

    Wheel Loader Snow Plowing

Volvo doesnt make buckets. It is Swedish made though (There are several makers to chose from) and it got what we in sweden call "Stora BM-fästet" (big (volvo) bm coupler) which is defacto standard here. Would be impossible to sell a wheelloader without it.

    wain-roy tilt bucket

The quick-coupler isnt strickly part of the roto-tilt design ... Indexator doesn't even sell buckets. Instead they deliver the roto-tilt with a quick-coupler of your choice at the bottom (There the bucket goes) and the top is either permantly attached (Quite common here in Sweden to order your...

Now they have changed the machine but I used to have a Volvo 120E clearing the snow outside my house. That is about the biggest you can legally use on public roads here in Sweden.

    Volvo+Perkins?????

Most likely original from the factory. Usually the LM 845 should have a Volvo D50 engine but poking around on the net it looks like atleast in Volvo's harvesters that were powered by the D50 it sometimes were replaced with a some kinda Perkins engine. I dont have time to find out what engine but...
