    What's the s/n, sounds like an early dry clutch manual that previously lost its drive links (dry fiber) Have you checked the actual rack travel, not just the throttle position.

    Oz is correct, the track bolt only comes into play during removal and installation of the recoil spring. With the spring in place the big retainer nut is backed off and the bolt just provides a safety feature to confine the spring.

    No surprise that the fuel pressure gauge is not working after subjecting it to a transfer pump with no relief valve. You should be using new injector capsules and they should not leak back. Bleeding is not going to be a success until the capsules hold and do not leak back compression.

    With that tang arrangement the pump housing can only be mounted one way so it's not likely a timing issue.

    That's strange, the early clutch housings had the three top bolts exposed, the later ones had two bolts accessible by removing the cover, third bolt is exposed.

    That's a little high, specs are 65psi +/- 10 psi. Seems problem is elsewhere.

    Yes, re-install the original pump with the required pressure relief valve. Yes on your second question. It is not normal to have to do excessive bleeding of the injection system, seems you still have an air leak somewhere. There should not be any leakage from the drain line so if it's leaking...
