Looks so naked!!! Removed hoe, and adding 3ph/pto....

You know the more I read this, I think that might be dooable. Im just working with a 110vt MIG, so no way I can give it the heat to weld new pins on, but I should be able to weld on a threaded bolt, or all tread on to the pins. Worst case, I grind it back off, and try something else...

Looks so naked!!! Removed hoe, and adding 3ph/pto....

Thanks for the tips!! Yes as far as I can tell it has the draft control. ONly issue is taking the hoe mounts off to use it. I do have a extra set of upper hoe mount arms.... Maybe I will cut them to hold the cab in place, and still clear the lift arms. I would need to repair those arm pins, and...

Thanks for the info Dave. So how hard is it to remove and reinstall it? I gotta say if I could find one for around a grand it would be worth it. Save me from buying a diferent tractor for using the brushcutter. I need to put about a grand getting my 8N up to running, and it still is a little...

    Truck Mounted Backhoe

    Truck Mounted Backhoe

We had one back in the 70's. Not sure what brand the hoe was, but my stepdad got it off a old Cat dozer. Had one of those old Wisconson V4 engines mounted behind the cab to run it. It was a old late 60's half ton GM pickup. I never used it, but he said it worked OK... Truck was a little...

    Looking at a 530CK

OK, so I have a 580 not a 530, but as far as 4x4... the hoes are pretty heavy. I have yet to get stuck when I have had the hoe on. granted, im not mud bogging up hills... I use mine around my land, not profesanaly. as for the price... well remember that you are going to need to dump at least...

    Trailering a 530CK or 580CK

Well remember that ontop of the 10-12k lb TLB, you also have the weight of the trailer. So plan about 15k towing weight. Thats a lot of weight for a 3/4 ton truck. I would be looking for a 1ton plus myself.

Looks so naked!!! Removed hoe, and adding 3ph/pto....

OK.... well Im back to work on this after a long time.... I realy need to get those lower arms off becouse they are in the way of the hitch. One Thing you would change on a backhoe to improve safety?

I feel that if you just keep tossing more safty gear on these things, the people using it just stop thinking. Just like the drives on the roads these days.

    Using my 580CK??

OK, so I got this tractor last spring. I did not use it a lot over the summer, but put some hours on it during fall. All in all, Im still pretty green on it. OK.. so that being said.... I need some tips.. Ive moved some dirt around, and a few times Ive had to dump it close to something...

Im not worryed about the seals weeping on mine... its the spewing hoe valve block that I worry about. :D The weeping rams I chalk up to preventing rust. :D

Did some work on the old 58CK yesterday.

Here is how its set up. .... You can see the acorn nut on the end of the pump. You take that off, and the resavore comes off. Just a heads up... disconnect the battery. Its tight in there, and the starter is real close!!!! The other pic you can see the filter.... there is a spec for tighting...
