    Dozer Final Drive Leak...advice?

    Its almost alway something to that effect, wire & rope most common. Most operators wont catch the slow leak and thats what get the bearing. Always look for wet spots on back of the sprockets and inside bottom pad on the morning walk around. As expensive as it was, its double that at the stealer.

    final Be sure to run the set screw up on the clutch pack before removing bull gear and final, be careful, that final is very heavy.

    id go with john deere 550 or 650g for farm, THOUGH tractors have run both of mine upwards of 15,000 hrs with minimal cost.

    450H john deere dozer tracks more to one side or locking up one track.

    Track sensor, usually opposite side of the side thats giving you trouble. switch them and see if the problem switches sides. thats a low cost check, track sensor around 3 hundred and most times need to be calibrated.
