Could be your problem is in the final drive. Perhaps a pinion shaft problem -

Hello, I am rebuilding the engine on a 1987 D-37P-2 The engine is a 6d95L serial #46337. I am looking for connecting rods, also a place to get either new or rebuilt injectors. Not having much luck finding them on my own. Anyone have any suggestions ? Also looking for new head bolts. Thanks... -

Installing Steering case cover
Got it figured out !! The steering brake adjustment rod was cranked right up tight and stuck in the carrier. when i took the adjustment screw off... the lever didn't slack off. I tapped it back and the cover went on like it should of. Live and learn !! -

That sounds about the same. I have the adjustment screw out... just having a tough time getting both arms in. It's a tight place to work in. Tomorrow is another day !! -

Yes .. JB Weld is good stuff !!! I've started tearing the dozer apart. Have the the tracks off, sprocket off, and the big ass nut on the shaft off. I'm guessing now is when i need a puller.The hub looks like it's maybe pressed on the shaft. Is that correct ? And if so, what kind of puller might... -

Thanks for the great info Nutwood. That was info i was hoping to hear from someone. My biggest concern is breaking the tracks. My chain is worn, so finding the master may be tricky. no oxy here but have access to it. Thanks again for the great info !! I appreciate it -

Thanks for the info. I was hoping the hole in the case could be welded instead of replacing it. The piece sticking out is sorta round.. I have no idea what it is.
