953a vs TL12 takeuchi track skid steer?

I have a takeuchi TL240 and have recently purchase a cat 939C track loader , if you are pushing trees or excavating for foundations the cat is the way to go , the takeuchi just can not compare with a machine that weighs twice as much even though the horsepower is within 15 of each other. The...

This can't be good for it!

common sense goes a long way, why not leave a short section of dirt in the trench to stop the water until you get the rest dug out then let the water go then you could actually see the grade in the trench while you were diging!:Pointhead:Banghead:duh

    Building a cut and fill

Not a lot of info to go on, but it seems if you have the plot plan with the location of the house and size of foundation you could start with staking that out, then doesn't the house plan show where the split is at on the foundation plan? I would start the fill past the step down to get my...

Best mini Excavator for the money

takeuchi is my pick , I have a tb 175 an tbo 35 the 35 has 4500 hrs on it and have had to do very little minor work on it. They have both been very reliable machines. One suggestion is don't buy one no matter what brand without a thumb. A TB 53FR or a TB 145 would be in the size range you're...

So I lost my ass for the first time on a job...

This is a good read. I'm new to the forum but it sounds to me like when the GC calls you need to tell him you want all the specs and the address and you need to go and inspect the site and have a one call locate done before you agree to a price, and include a unforseen circimstaces clause in...
