My new to me Cat 299D2 XHP

Forestry equipped units have these and many other needed guards, filters, Pre-filters and covers as part of the package plus we steel track ours as well. Running a land clearing deficated CAT without the forestry package isn't a smart idea. My 259D have the forestry package installed as well...

The Kubota is a great machine. I have only demo'ed one but allot of great operators of here love them so based on that I don't think you would go wrong by getting one. I own and operate both 299D XHP and 259 D hi flows Both are awesome machines. The price tag is huge on the 299, unless you are...

    Weekend Warrior CTL

I was just trying to get a rise out of the OP m it really doesn't matter to me what he actually ends up doing with the machine. More power to him. The 259D would make a great machine IMHO for what the OP describes. I own a few of them and really really like the unit. Very capable peice of...

    Which CTL for pool excavation.

I own and operate three of these model CAT CTL's.., the 259D, the 289D and the 299 XHP....The difference in ROC is due mainly to the weigh of the machine itself and that is the main limiting factor. The 259 does perform every bit as good as the 289, in some case better. The same motor pavkage...

    Which CTL for pool excavation.

CAT 259, 279, 289 of 299.....loads of power to haul full loads up the ramp. We use out 299XHP and there is nothing it can't power through and the ride is magnitudes of order better than the TAK...this keeps the operator working faster and fof longer periods of time. The 200XHP's are expensive...
