The two speed solenoids are a common item to go bad and need replacement.

08 Takeuchi TL-150 Blown hydraulic couplers...?

It sounds like you may have a bad pressure relief valve on the auxiliary circuit.

    Rubber track question

Well, I had to get the machine up and going again. I went intending to get an ITR track from my local dealer, but they were out of my size. So I ended up getting one from Passini. It was just slightly more expensive, but a good looking track. What a chore it was to change a track on a muddy...

    Rubber track question

We are still working on it with the Better Business Bureau. They are claiming no liability. We will see what happens. Thank you to all for your recommendations. I hope to get this resolved soon and get my TL150 back going soon. I miss it and have several jobs ready.

    Rubber track question

They finally responded to the BBB. They denied ever getting the emails that I sent them. Of course they only did this after their rating dropped significantly.

    Rubber track question

Everybody makes mistakes. Maybe there was a bad batch of tracks. It is bound to happen sometime. But you have to try to make things right. You can't just ignore problems and hope they will go away. Doing so will come back and bite you sooner or later.

    Rubber track question

I would imagine that they would not be real happy. I assume they will eventually find out. But what should worry them more is their Better Business Bureau rating. By simply not responding, it went down from B to D-. I would have never imagined that much change from one report.

    Rubber track question

Surfaces vary, but I did mostly finish grading of yards. I was bucketing some gravel when the first track broke and pushing some dirt fill into a hole on the 2nd one.

    Rubber track question

Rubber tracks have a series of steel cables that run through them, closely spaced. These are what are supposed to hold them together. When those cables start breaking, they will just break apart. My other tracks have lasted for around a thousand hours. I normally wear them out before they...

    Rubber track question

The first one broke. I then put a used track on and used it for a few hours until the 2nd one broke.

    Rubber track question

I bought a set of Titan tracks for my TL150. I don't use it very much, but within 80 hours one track broke in half. I set it aside while waiting for a response and put an old track on it to finish a job. Within another 10 hours, the other track broke just like the first one. What can cause...

    Fuel tank removal

I am looking at a tank removal job for one of my clients. I have talked the state Department of Natural Resources about the job and have some experience removing tanks with another company. But I am a little confused by the tank construction. The report calls them out to be 6000 gallon...

First hook a different trailer up to the truck and determine if the problem is a truck problem or trailer problem.

CTL or Tire machine with OTT

For work in the woods, I normally prefer steel OTT. There is much more risk of damaging tracks or throwing tracks out in the woods on stumps and big rocks. Repairing way out in the woods is always a pain. I also seem to get better traction with steel tracks on loose leaves and damp ground...

    Takeuchi tl130

Bypass each sensor, separately, and see what happens. If it runs right, then replace the bypassed sensor. If this doesn't fix the problem, then start tracing the wiring from the sensors back to the cab. My TL150 had similar issues and there was a bad spot in the wire.

    Joystick control counterintuitive when backing.

That is common in most machines. I have at Takeuchi TL150 and have used several other brands. It seems like whenever someone gets on one for the 1st time, they have a hard time in reverse. It will start feeling right pretty quickly.

Case 850B - Loss of hydraulics

I assume I have a load sensing system, but am unsure. I put a gauge on the pressure line going in to the main valve. Pressure is bascially zero until you move one of the hydraulic levers. Then pressure will increase. Pressure seems to be around 800-1200 psi while in operation. RPM changes...

Case 850B - Loss of hydraulics

Thanks for the info Atco. Could a circuit relief valve cause this problem, or would it have to be system related ( such as pump or main relief)? It looks like I may have to pull it out.

Case 850B - Loss of hydraulics

I have a Case 850B highlight, about 1980 vintage. The last couple times I have used it I have had real slow hydraulics on both the bucket and boom. They start off kind of slow. I have to give it full throttle to work. Later on, once everything warms up, they are almost worthless. I pulled the...

Water well drilling with a skid steer

I have never seen such an attachment before. I just don't see any way a skid steer could have enough power or weight to accomplish that task.
