    Haul ass trailers

    i own one that is about 6 mounths old. i have not hauled any thing as heavy as your excavator. i haul a backhoe and a mid size dozer. the trailer is ok but the frame is not as heavy as i would like it to be. it seems to flex quite a bit with a light load.

    what size bucket are you using? with that many stumps you might want to get some kind of ripper tooth bucket,it will be easer to rip trough the roots.

    get the site and the pad engineered,you will not regret it. most of the time a dozer will not get to corect compaction.

    20-25000 pounds will be to much weight on a goose neck. most dual tandem goose neck should only haul 16000 pounds when you figure in trailer weight.

    how do you prove to dot officer you are farm when you are pulling a dozer or backhoe? I'm just wondering how that works. If you do anything for money that is comercial.

    Keep in mind with your f450 you need all the same dot numbers and insurance as a big truck,to be legal. :drinkup

    One thing i learned new when i went to renew my truck plates was if you gross over 55k or 56k (cant remember) you have to file heavy truck tax with the irs. i plated mine for only 48K because i gross out at 46 with my jd 650j. just some thing to think about.

    i have been running a single axle truck for two years now. i haul a 650j and a 420e tlb. i tried hauling with a 1 ton and goose neck that was scary. the air brakes are way better than any electric. its nice to know you can stop and got plent of weight on the truck. with your heavy goose neck it...
