Ford 555 no fuel to injectors after sitting

This machine does not have a lift pump. Fuel is gravity fed to the filters, and then on to the injection pump. Fuel will spray out of the bleed screw of the injection pump while cranking, so the internal transfer pump is working.

Ford 555 no fuel to injectors after sitting

Yes, I get a good stream while cranking. I'll give the acetone trick a try. Will have to find a syringe. I see there's an air trick, but blowing in the fuel line ports won't get air to the plungers. Is there another place to put air to?

Ford 555 no fuel to injectors after sitting

Hi all, my old 555 has been sitting for a year and a half, in side the barn. Tried to fire it up a few months ago, no fuel to the injectors. Drained water separator, only got a little out. New fuel filter, checked strainer on the pump, clean. Tried all sorts of tricks trying to pop metering...

Best parts support for 80's-90's mini excavator

Hi all, looking to purchase an older mini/midi excavator. Just as a toy for around the house. Are there any brands I should steer away from with poor support for old machines? Recently passed up a clean takeuchi tb68s. Kinda leaning towards a yanmar b50. I work on newer machines for a living...

Source for hydraulic coupler valve and controllers?

Kind of an odd request.. Looking for a good source of controller and valve setups to run a European pin grabber hydraulic coupler. Excavator size varies from 303 to 320 cat. Couplers like oriel, tefra, geith. I know "Hill" is a manufacturer for the controller box, but also looking for the...

    scrap metal

I have a couple thousand pounds just sitting in a pile behind the barn. Recently bought a dump trailer, so I can easily haul it in but prices are low. Guess I'll wait.

    Which skid steer brand?

I've got an older s250 as a homeowner machine, and it's been good. Parts readily available, strong machine.

GENIE S45 SELF LEVELING WON'T STAY BLED

How are you bleeding the air from the circuit? Most the genies I see that won't auto level the basket are due to bad counter balance valves in the main control valve.

JLG 450 Series II boom lift - any wrenches here?

Is your lower boom stack down all the way? Check for a stuck switch where your upper boom meets the tower.

Old John Deere 70 pattern change

I think I've got it figured out. In that video, those are the pilot lines that control the control valve. This machine has linkage to that valve, it can't really be changed unless you start cutting and welding. I'll be changing the only flexible hoses in the system, at the base of the boom.

Old John Deere 70 pattern change

Does anyone remember if linkage could be swapped around on these? No pilot lines. Wobble sticks to linkage, linkage to control valve, control valve to hardlines that run to the cylinders. Only way I see to do it is to make up longer hoses to switch which Hardline meets which hose. I figured I'd...

Genie lifts, is it ok to grease bronze bushings?

At least as far as jlg goes... I have a 60ha at home. All the pivot points are greaseable. A few years back, at jlg school they covered this. Why doesn't jlg use greaseable pins? Because they did a survey years ago, and concluded nobody was interested in greasing them. I assume genie is the same...

Jlg 450a dies when switched to basket contols

There's a Allen bolt on the under side of the platform control box. Unscrew that and it'll lift up. Sounds like you might have a bad e stop on the basket side.
