    Considering buying a Cat 279c

Mostly dirt work, would like to put a brush cutter/forestry mulcher on it. Did yours have the triple flange idler. I need to ask if this one does, it's a 2013

    Considering buying a Cat 279c

I have found a 279c high flow with 2500hrs cab heat and air, looks to be in pretty good condition. Was wondering what the good and bad are of this machine.

    Gehl/mustang

I have tried finding information on the Gehl rt250 & the Mustang 2500rt. Does anyone know anything about the newer Gehl/Mustang machines. I had an older Gehl tire machine and it was a great machine, for it having tires.

    Cat c series power upgrade?

Since all the c series Cats have the same motor and the 279 & 89s have less horsepower than the 299 can the 79 & 89be turned up? I don't really want a vertical lift machine but want the higher horsepower of the 299.

http://www.machinerytrader.com/ListingsDetail/Detail.aspx?lp=MAT&OHID=26702369 I found this skid steer and know that Tak didn't offer a high flow option on the tl150 and I know Supertac made one with high flow, doesn't look like one of them, does anybody know who else could have done the conversion?

JCB brought use one of there Teleskids to demo last week. Haven't had it in the dirt yet, been backing rock on asphalt. I am used to running Takeuchi skids and the travel is a little jumpy for what I'm used to, salesrep said they could hook it up to the computer and dial it in if we buy one...

    Takeuchi vertical lift track loader

Not sure about that. I've personally had it shut down right after stating it also had it start up and go directly to limp mode. They've checked the codes and it basically comes back to the fuel filter, which has been changed more than should be trying to figure it out.

    Takeuchi vertical lift track loader

We turn the key without starting it to allow it to prime the fuel system again and it starts easier.

    Takeuchi vertical lift track loader

My work has some of the r2s that shut down. They are hard to start afterwards, like they ran out off fuel.

    Why no roll up doors

I'm 6'2" and have plenty of room in a Tak to wear my hard hat while operating. Some heavy wire works great for a hard hat hook.

    Why no roll up doors

Maybe manufacturers will see this and at least make it an option on new ones.

    Why no roll up doors

At least I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

    Why no roll up doors

Why doesn't anyone other that Tak and Kubota offer a roll up door. It is so handy to roll the door up if you are getting in and out often and the ability to get out of the machine while the arms are up.

    Which new tracks to purchase?

My opinion is go for the bar style not the block. I think the bar style rides better a pushes a little better.
