if it goes down the road then it has to pass a regular dot check, ie brakes, lights, leaks, we run log books in all our cranes from the 35 ton that has a sme plate all the way up to the 175 ton that has no plate just an oversize permit and they have checked them.... more often on the big... -

from my experience the pa dot will still be checkin on you with a sme plate ..... and you are up near some of the big gas wells and those seem to be getting alot of attention from dot. just a heads up -

ronsii, i think that is a different accident.... the article you linked says it was a lattice tower section that was already on foundation and free of the crane.... neither of these appear to be the case in the pictures -

i will have to check on that on tuesday.... the confusing part is that it will actually cool down somewhat on a long uphill grade as long as im in a low enough gear to keep the engine from heating up -

was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to why the tranny in our 5175 grove is making alot of heat going down hill (when you are trying to cool everything down) im not using the trans retarder, converter is staying locked up so no slippage, i talked to the tranny shop the other day... -
