    JD 310D Husco Loader Valves

If it's like the rear Husco valves on my E model, "P" will be hard wiper seal and "Q" will be a lip seal. It's way different from an O-ring. You'll probably have to buy that part number from Deere and it'll come in a baggy with 100 other seals. Throw 96 of them away and use the 4 you need. If...

John Deere 690ELC Front Crank seal replacement

On my 4045 front crank seal I used a small hand saw. Took slow cautious strokes, stopping often and check for depth until I was able to "tear" the wear ring off. Worked great. I have a picture below of what I used...

    So, yellow isn’t yellow?

Glad you found this. I saw your other question and I couldn’t remember where I posted this. Lol

    My first track loader!

We feel like we did, Dave. We didn't give it away. He's getting a much better machine than we bought 14 years ago. Plus he's got an open record of the machine for everything we've done.

    My first track loader!

Mike, after 14 years with this machine and documenting nearly everything Dad and I did to it and with it, I'm sad to say, we sold it within the last month. Didn't plan on selling it. Never even put it up for sale, but we attended an equipment auction within the last month and met up with a...

Need help with JD 310d oil leaks

Can't help on the rear seal question. But for the tool, check with both the yellow and green dealers. My local yellow dealer let me borrow the front seal installer tool. You pay a deposit they give you a refund when you return it. I've had good luck with HW Parts for all my cylinder seal kits...

    JD 310D fuel supply question

Good deal. Glad you got it going with minimal expense.

    JD 310D fuel supply question

The symptoms I had were once running it was fine. I was getting very small bubbles in the fuel system. Couldn't see them without a flash light behind clear tube. Once it shut off, I guess the air accumulated in the IP. The next start would have enough pressure to run for a few seconds until the...

    JD 310D fuel supply question

I just went through this on my 310SE. I set the parts bomb off under mine and now I have a whole new fuel system :) Do what Delmer said, will save you lots of money. At least start there. Even though my line wasn't leaking fuel, it was porous enough to let air in.

Some pics of my current project

Pete, is that your same Dodge from page 1? Curious how many miles you have on it now? I know you said you had 50k miles in the first 12 months. Can't imagine how many it has now.

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Me too, JL. Very glad the mystery is solved. I put it to work pushing up tree slash to burn piles. Glad to have it productive again.

    John Deere 310 SE Project

My winter project is done. I've been battling this start die issue since before Oct of last year. After getting it back together and tightening the snot out of the supply line to pickup tube union, it is fixed. Dirty injectors, plastic found in the fuel union orifice. I'm sure the supply line...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

It might be, JL. I'm anxious to see if the supply line tells a story too. Will take it off Tuesday eve. I'm going to use the old one to help route the new one. Hope the sock is in by Tuesday too. If so, I'll be ready to go back together with it all.

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Cleaned tank last night with a gallon of degreaser. Strapped it up on the loader and sloshed a chain around in it. Worked pretty well. It's flipped upside down with a space heater on it to dry it out good. Found a smoking gun, not sure if it's the smoking gun. When lifting the supply line off...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Last night I drained the tank, disconnected everything and have only two remaining bolts that hold the tank on. Will remove Thursday night and pressure wash and clean. I lured Dad up to help me with pizza. He'll help me man handle this thing while we slosh a chain around. I removed the float...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Me too! Good to know about the tube. I'll probably completely drop it and pressure wash it out and slosh with a chain. Several years ago my tractor had a stopped up fuel strainer in the tank. From previous owner's dirty fuel. The symptoms were a bit different. It would run for 15 minutes or so...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

GREAT NEWS! Curiosity got the best of me. I just now went out the shop and I had a tube and clamp which fit perfectly on the transfer pump inlet. Swapped lines and put the clear tube down in the 5 gallon can. I had to use couple of wrenches as a brace to keep it straight. Got it...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

On second thought as a quick test, I'm going to hook a hose up to the transfer pump and put it in my 5 gallon can and see if it still happens. This will remove the old fuel line, pickup, sock, and tank from the picture.

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Wish, I could JL. Still the same start and die issue. Long crank, finally started. Let run for at least 15 minutes at medium to high RPM. Turned it off, I could hear fuel running back into the tank. I left the cap loosened. Wait couple of minutes. Set idle up, restarts and stumbles to stop. I...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Got it cleaned up, resealed and back on the tractor. Weather was too bad to try and start it last night. Will wait for warmer weather. I'll bleed the advance too when I start it. Fingers crossed. Would recommend loosening all the inlet and outlet plugs before you get it off the tractor. I was...
