Best mini Excavator for the money

Yanmarman, you need to either refrain from comments such as that last load you aimed at 95Ziv or take a hike. You claim 30 yrs experience with equipemnt but you use language like a mouthy 20 yr. old. So try, really hard, to clean up your act and stop talking trash.

Berger Manufacturing- Logging Equipment Built in Seattle

What is the purpose of the engine in the carriage? I'm assuming there used to be carriages that were not motorized.

Truth about safety by Mike Rowe

Well, I do have many years in the industry and I think Mike is pretty much on the money with his assesment. Far too often a safety program is primarily a dog and pony show so somebody can "show" how concerned with safety issues.

How to dig a ditch fast?

Now THAT is absolutely perfect, mimics my reaction to a "T".

    EGS's pictures from work

EGS, I just found this thread, great shots of the old iron shows. I've heard about Baraboo, never been there yet. Linda and I were visiting Shell at the right time in '04 and made it down to Edgerton for the Thresheree. That pile driver has quite the history. I was impressed at the oak...

D3B LGP on fresh water lake ice-tomorrow!

I doubt you will be able to get traction enough to push anything on that ice and any steering control will be purely luck. You may also find some weak ice right at the shoreline and if it drops down under you, even if there isn't a lot of water to worry about, you might not be able to get out.

    Bombardier BR-275 Groomer

I know we met him but I don't remember his name. We met a bunch of the locals while we were there, virtually all real nice folks. I wouldn't mind living in the area, quite a lot like rural VT other than a bunch flatter and, from what Shell has said, brutally windy in the winter. You wouldn't...

    Bombardier BR-275 Groomer

You got the right place but we were out there to help Michelle (who actually owns the place) get some progress going on the barn. Good ol' boy TT had been bluffing his way along trying to get the barn done and spending her money way faster than work was progressing. We have known Shell for 15...

    Bombardier BR-275 Groomer

My Gawd, that's Nora's! A mile or two east of there is a new horse operation on the other side of 12 & 18, big red pole barn, kind of half hidden from the road. Wife and I were out there two years ago in September, ate breakfast there most every morning. Did you know Carl, older guy, real...

    Scrub crusher .

I know this is a wiseguy remark, but why do you need to clear a bombing range? That was probably Avon Lake?

    Southern Indiana Coal Mining Images!

Hard to tell if you are praising or being sarcastic. I would prefer to think the first but your history here would indicate the second.

    The Schield Bantam

I used to hang around with a kid whose Father had a Schield Bantam on a 6x6 truck chassis. He had the backhoe, shovel and crane fronts for it. He also had a TD14 and a HD16(I think that was the AC designation for it) dozer. He had made a tag trailer to carry the dozer on, one axle at the very...

right size of excavator for septic tank replacement

I gotta go along with 95 here Joke. Since you're so adamant that you "answered" the original question it is more than a little obvious that, unlike you emoticon, you are not only confused but clueless(maybe we need a custom emoticon just for you?). The OP asked what he would need to lift the...

    Arcair slice

I think the battery operated one only uses current to light the fire whereas the welder powered units keep the current running to make the process faster. Only seen them demo'ed at shows, never used a Slice system myself although I have used carbon arc gouging equipment quite a bit. Both are...

    Live Floor Trailer

I've lived a sheltered life up here in the far northeast. What is that "squeeze" you're talking about and what does it do?

Is It Possible To Prevent Lawn Damage???

The well drilling folks up here have taken to using a polyetheyelene (sp) mat about 1/2" thick to make a runway for their rigs. They still leave a depressed "rut" but it is far less evident than 6" deep truck tracks. Stuff comes in 4 8 foot sheets. Fairly pricey but doesn't rot or absorb...

    6 wheel skid

The Banana Splits were playing with Amphicat, 6 wheeled, amphibious ATVs. I had one back in the early 70s, fantastic rig for a duck hunter in beaver pond country. Would carry two men in some really mucky terrain but came up a bit short on power on hills. Rode like a big marshmallow at speed...
