In case anyone wonders what an old mechanic looks like, that's my shop partner in crime on the right and me on the left. We have been told that were just like those two Muppets.

It will probably end up full of sweat, hay hooks, and chaps. But wait a minute no one loads hay like that anymore. You asked if I saw any to tell you RZ.
But your hay haulin friends have to keep it clean and treat it right;).

Actually not much. Very obsolete and expensive to repair, the cylinder head is worth the most and only if you know of some one who needs one. In the early 90's
a rebuild-able core cylinder head was going for 3,250.00. But it is still a neat find, what horse power rating is it?

Surprised Junkyard isn't landing on that, he has a similar boom on his A-car, military wrecker/crane. 12V71, I shudder to think of trying to get that functional!! And you would NEED all thirteen in that box!

Love the Muppets look-alikes, I have fond memories of two just like them in a truck shop setting!!

Lets see, Armstrong steering, a 12v71, lots and lots of missing 'stuff' with a military wrecker/crane boom rear. I am surprised Junkyard is not in transit on that one!! That would be a lifetime of work to get anywhere NEAR to driveable!!

I think that Salt Water Chevy would spring to life easier than one would think. Installing power box steering is pretty simple on one of those. I have seen far worse.
Besides it's a 359 LH:)

Why would you NEED all 13? I've driven 3 trucks with 12V71's and they were pretty torquey if you ask me. One was a lowboy tractor at 150k# plus. Had a 10x4 trans and I only used the brownie to get things rolling or an extra split on hills. with 80K it was like driving a passenger car. I preferred the 12 over the 400 small cam Cummins. It all depended on how you handled it.
