Cat 226 won't start

okay. Running fine the bucket hydraulics quit working . Shut the machine off turned on and off a few times then wouldn't turn over.. no parking brake light or lap belt light? Maybe solenoid?

If its a perkopillar motor, I'd start by cleaning bat terms, grounds, check bat voltage, and condition, then check shut off solenoid, beside the pump. May also be lap bar switch, or door switch, if so equipped. Also might be safety or aux solenoid problems. Check fuses, solenoids are behind your calves, as seated in operators seat, IIRR...

Yes battery terminals number one. Make sure no buildup on them. Make sure battery charged, and leads are tight. Make sure Earth from battery to the body is clean and secure.

The lap bar switch is a bitch, but it's a lifesaver, it will disengage your hydraulics but has nothing to do with your machine not starting.

B? C? D?

We had issues with the C's and D's with the cable on the starter coming loose. IIRC there's barely enough thread on the stud to get through the nut.

battery isgetting connection when i turn the key on just beeps with low engine oilpressure light on

ok i got it to start.. must have looked over the ecm fuse. but still no hydraulic function. seatbelt light flashes. first time I fired it and shut it off it blew the 10amp fuse again
