Our construction project is going on near Toronto. Carry deck crane is a necessary thing to complete certain works like lifting some heavy building materials. So we need to find some carry deck crane rental services.
We have our own operators to operate the cranes in our work site. I don't know whether the operation of carry deck cranes is different from this normal cranes. Is it possible for normal crane operators to handle these cranes? Or should we hire the operator also?

We have a Broderson 8.5 ton carry deck.

They operate like any other crane other than they don't have free swing.

These days, most all the usual rental outfits rent carry decks (Sunbelt, United, Hertz, etc). Lots of larger crane outfits also bare rent carry decks around here.

Any competent operator can handle a carry deck. I prefer a broderson, they are tough little cranes. If your renting, a 15 or 18 ton is a whole lot more machine than the 8.5 tonners, but only if you need capacity. The 8.5 will fit in a little smaller spot.
