Service Advisor

Does anyone know of a Deere dealer that sells service advisor to the public?

You can purchase a customer version of it but it's not cheap, its up to the dealer if they want to offer it, and even then it has to be approved by Deere. I believe $195 per month plus the cost of the EDL tool used to connect ($1400ish?). You get access to service manuals, read codes, and can do calibrations but no controller programming. The monthly fee is only for one division, i.e. Ag and Turf OR construction and forestry, not both. And you have to go through the coresponding dealer (Ag through Ag dealer, C+F through C+F dealer).

Just curious about the monthly fee.Is this just to receive updates and for new machines or is the actual program password protected and changes once a month?Thanks for any info

I believe it's for access to the actual program. Service advisor is very tied into many parts of your computer. Deere actually recommends providing a computer with SA loaded to the customer. Unless you have a large fleet of varied models and need the ability to do the diagnostic tests and calibrations,, you'd probably be money ahead buying the cd, download, or paper copy of the service manual from the link below and calling the dealer out for the computer intensive diagnostics.

Thanks Chiff,That answers the question.Im just looking to do injector cutout and sensor changes and the like but for only 5 or 10 times a year it don't sound too economical.
