    M Series Controls

I just about ran into our building in one of the first 16M's. I had so much going on I couldn't remember to disengage the tranny before trying the brakes. Got my heart going pretty good... that's a big grader to not be able to stop! I'm no operator though.. It's a pretty slick setup.

    Komatsu D155AX working in woodchips

Just got back from a field trip to visit some customers running a D155AX at a biomass generating plant in Maine. Apparently on a cold day the steam coming off these piles is so thick that you have to operate the dozer by "feel" :cool2 The basic version: The edited version...

    Wheel loader buckets

A CAT916 would be a Class 20 wheel loader in the Craig system. We put 12065 Quick Keys on all machines in that size range. You'd be able to pick up any other bucket made for any other Class 20 machine but your geometry might be a little wonky. That means if you pickup a bucket for a Volvo it...

    Ditching Bucket BBQ

Tradeshow season is on us and we came up with a bit of a special attachment....:D We made it out of 16ga and it took longer trying to find a welder with wire small enough to work on it than it did to weld. It weighs 23lbs. Just look at the size of the loader buckets in the backround to get...

Who makes the best Quick Connect for an Excavator

I'm pretty sure he's looking for a pin-grabber. On that note does anyone use their pin grabber to quickly reverse their bucket on the stick for back filling? It's probably one of the handiest features we've found with a pin-grabber vs. wedge or bar lock system.

    Over sized buckets

Assuming it's dry light material (like woodchips) you generally double the capacity of your GP bucket. You get a little less than double with something a bit heavier (like Hog Fuel). If you go for a high-tip light-material or woodchip the fast and dirty rule we use is that you can improve...
