I'm a grandson of RG LeTourneau and grew up operating and working on his machines in south and north america. I put myself through college operating heavy equipment and have always had a little yellow paint in my blood. About a year ago, I became aware that the college my grandfather started, LeTourneau University, had boxes and boxes of film and photos in an archive that no one was doing anything with. With help from my father, RG's son Roy, I got some equipment to start digitizing some of the film in the archive and to push the college to find some funding to digitize the whole archive and pursue creating a web page through which the material could be shared with the world. We are making progress, but it is slow and we need more money and digitizing equipment.
