    John Deere 410 Backhoe

I have an older 410 (mid-70's) and am trying to get what a fair price would be to rebuild the transmission and brakes. I understand this requires the machine split. I currently have 2 speeds and brakes are nearly gone....hand break has no more adjustment left. Trying to get an idea if it is...

Replacing all hydraulics hoses with Cloth protective covering?

Mine aren't crimped and are made of fire hose with zip ties on the ends. I expect they assists in delaying sun damage and would delay any spray if they break.

    John Deere 455g

It would have to be in like new shape for 45K. Not sure how recent they made the 455G but mine is no cab 1994....I paid 14K and see them in the 20's quite often.

    John Deere 455g

I have a 455G and love it so far. Agree it seems odd sitting for 8 years but if it runs $4500 allows quite a bit to replace parts and bring it up to par. I did replace my transmission and it was about $6500 for a factory rebuilt unit which fairly easily slides in. You need to get it running...

    TEREX TA64 Knuckle Boom Lift

If you find your problem is with OEM controls I called them in Connecticut and got straight answers with documentation on their controls. My problem was with their equipment and the guy I spoke to knew all about boom lifts and all the components. The documentation he sent explained all about the...

    TEREX TA64 Knuckle Boom Lift

I just bought a 2001 TB42 and must have spent 5-6 hours searching online. Genie site had most of the manuals and other sites had bits and pieces of info. I had some problems and found other information from the control manufacturer...and ultimately fix it and learned lots about how they operate...

    JD 410 Parking Brake

I have a straight JD 410 backhoe and appears the parking brake adjustment has worn out. Assume it is original and is worn down since adjusting in no longer possible. Can the parking brake be replaced without breaking the machine apart? If so, is it fairly simple or complex.

    Terex TB42

Changed out the digi-sensor and machine run great in forward and reverse. $169 part and about half an hour labor.

    Terex TB42

Just to follow up for anyone with this equipment. I chose to call a dealer and that was a waste of time as they sent a tech and fixed nothing. I did the research and figured out how this thing works. More time that I'll admit to but probably the best way owning older equipment. The forward and...

    Terex TB42

Yes, I am working with OEM to diagnose the Superflex board. Apparently they can be sent in for rebuild but am trying some other things first that may be the culprit

    Terex TB42

I own a Terex TB42 boom lift. Gas motor etc. Everything works great but last week I lost forward drive and the high speed function. I've read the other post and realize these things can be a pain. So I bought it from a dealer and called them to do a site service call a couple weeks ago. Called...

    Terex 42

I've got a 2001 Terex 42 boom lift with Ford Gas Motor: Everything works great but when I extend or retract the basket it stalls often. A few times when I push the foot button it revved the motor to a higher RPM which it should do so the added action of extending or retracting doesn't stall...

    Foam Filled Tires

Thanks for all the feedback. Ordered new air filled tires after getting a foam quote of 3 times the cost of new. I will look at the tireject for other equipment I have the same problem with.
