    I get what you are saying. So what would a contractor do if the the original plan was using 97,000 lbs ctw and then the change went up to 119,000 lbs ctw? The load charts show the same max load.

    Yes, they are needing to go from 97,000 to 163,000. Wouldn't the extra cost for these weights be small - around $10ish/hr (excluding transportation, assembly, etc)? This crane is needed for 2-3 weeks.
