    Sprocket ware

I don’t know if it was necessary right now, but I got it changed. It wasn’t too bad.

    Sprocket ware

Got a new sprocket. It’s a very nice piece. I could put this on my coffee table. Can't say it looks like it has a lot wider teeth. Do you think I should be in a rush to get this on? Is it very hard to get the track off?

    Sprocket ware

So the Bobcat service manual has zero advice when to change the sprocket. I checked out the missing bolt. It was not broke off. There was another bolt loose, but the sprocket was tight. I put two new bolts in. I’m probubly going to order one (or two) to keep on hand. This is a personal machine...

    Pin location

This is something I find interesting on my Bobcat E26. The bucket pins are not located in such a way to assure they turn in the ware sleeve instead of the ears. Here you can see what I mean. I made the collar with the bolt through the pin so the pin must turn inside the big wide greased sleeve...

    Sprocket ware

Swap over? Do you mean flip over or swap to the other track? Mine was a rental, so I assume all operators were novice. (I certainly am)

    Sprocket ware

So if I keep running this, will it start slipping or will it ruin something else?

    Sprocket ware

I’m wondering if this sprocket is shot? Here is a pic of the other one for comparison. Is this something that I should be worried about or just keep an eye on?

    Best lifting attachment

I like the idea of added capacity. I may weld one on the bucket and figure out another on the coupler for max lift.

    Best lifting attachment

So I got some chain hooks and my new (wide) bucket. The excavator is at my other property 60 miles away. I want to weld the chain hook on the new bucket before I bring it there. Do any of you guys got pics of where you welded yours? Is there something I should be looking out for? Do you think...

    bucket quick couplers

So I got my new bucket. Looks good built. I don’t have my excavator here right now, so it will have to wait till I get them together.

    bucket quick couplers

I have the tag system on my E26. It has a 12” bucket on it now and I should take delivery of a 30” bucket tomorrow. I’ll see how good it works then. I’ve heard that the tag system is fine for smaller machines like mine, but they are not strong enough for larger machines. Not sure where the size...

    Best lifting attachment

It has the TAG quick pin bucket. Not really lifting anything but logs with the thumb right now, just looking ahead. I ordered some chain hooks from the bay. I guess I’ll be welding them on the bucket.

    Best lifting attachment

My bobcat miniX doesn’t have any thing to hook a chain or rope on for lifting. I was thinking of welding on some kind of hook or ring. Maybe a clevis “D” . I really don’t know exactly what I want. Also, where exactly where would be the best place to weld it? Any recommendations would be welcome.

    Weird hydro problem

I was using my E26 Bobcat and suddenly it wouldn’t lift the boom. Everything else worked. When i tried to lift the boom, it would take up the slack in the joints, but stop there. This was after a couple hours of work. I felt the cylinder on the boom and it was kind of hot, but so were the other...

    Possible low power

So I tested the ability to lift the machine with the boom and it passed with flying colors. A guy on another forum said that it should lift the machine at idle. (I tested it at wide open) Does everybody here agree it should lift it at idle? I’m going to test this today.
