    Sorry for the delay, been pretty busy. So I checked the battery today with a meter at the battery and it was 14.6 volts. I ran the machine today and was running fine but the battery light flashed the whole time.

    Update. The problem light is still flashing. I tested the output at the back of the alternator and It is putting out 14 volts. Then with the machine off I tested the battery and it had 12.8 volts. I struggle with electric problems and don't really where to go from here, so any help would be...

    well that was a a good idea to call the cat mechanic. it was a 15 minutes fix. the cable from the battery to the starter was rubbing and shorted out on the frame. new cable and 3.5 hours the machine is running and pulled it self out of the mud. thank you all for the help.

    I just broke down and called a certified cat mechanic and he is coming in the morning. the machine has sunk another footing the mud. I'll let every know what it ends up being. once I have power I should be able to pull it out.
