    Hitachi Ex120-2 slowly armor plating

Looks good! We've done that for years around here and it works great. Just remember to beef up the frame work that the doors swing on also. Otherwise a good hit will push them in against your pumps.

    Z45 Engine pivots!

And they gave us enough room so that even an old fat guy can get back there. The engine on a JLG on the other hand swings out but not far enough, you still have to get down on your hands and knees to get back there.

Hitachi EX300LC-1 Hydraulic Oil Selection (ISO 68 vs ISO 46)

In 1991 we knew nothing of zinc free oil, use regular 46 and it will function fine. Back then, and even today many used tractor hydraulic oil. It's not recommended but when they have done it for 8-10,000 hours it's also hard to argue that it's bad for the machine.

    Diagnostic tools

Deere will sell EDL to anyone, unless you happen to have a dealer who has an attitude. I bought one through the ag dealer.

    1987 c7000 body panels

Those share the same cab as the pickups so maybe look there.

Hitachi EX120 1E4-01602, what year is it?

I can't say for sure what year but the 1E4 serial tells me it's an EX120-5 and they were built from 1996 -2005.

    644k Deere hydraulic hose

So a few weeks later and the fan pump hose off the front of the tank started leaking. Both times the hose fitting was hand tight. This time, rather than jacking up the cab I built a wrench, 3 foot long piece of flatbar with a 1/2" drive ratchet and a crows foot on the end. Snuck it down...

Yanmar Engine Dealers on West Coast?

If you have a good Deere dealer parts dept they "should" be able to help you out.

    644k Deere hydraulic hose

I was able to jack the one side of the cab up far enough to use a long extension and crows foot to tighten it up. It's a suction line so not to concerned about the Oring, we'll keep an eye on it. Otherwise to replace the Oring it looks like you have to lift the cab.

    644k Deere hydraulic hose

Working on a 644k hybrid that has a hose leaking off the front of the hydraulic tank. It's the one next to the hydraulic fan pump hose, it looks like a bad oring.. Any ideas on how to get to that hose fitting? There must be a trick since the manual calls for removing the fan pump hose at the...

    JD 9520

Thank you Gary for updating to let us know what the problem was. Years ago I had a customer with a 9520 scraper tractor, 18 speed power shift and under a hard pull it would occasionally pop into neutral. Move the shift lever to neutral and back into gear and away it went. It would happen maybe...

    Hitachi Paint

Deere used to sell it, not sure if they still do. Otherwise Wajax should have it.

    Oxy-propane rosebud torch

I have several of the large Harris tips that I threaded onto Victor wands so I can use with my Victor setup. If you want heat, they'll put it out.

    Quality Hex Bit Sockets

I buy just the bit, I think the last ones were Grey Tools, then I can put them in any socket I want whether 1/2" or 3/4" drive and any length socket. Some have a detent ball and others a small raised bump to hold them in. I've also cut regular allen wrenchs down to use.

    Sumitomo SH60 service manual

Sumitomo excavators are grey market machines in the U.S. and Canada, that's why there are no manuals readily available. But Sumitomo built Case, Link Belt and some JCB machines so you can figure out which of those machines are the same and use that manual. The 2 major differences I have found...
