    Track bolts

I push alt key and then the number 0 and get º. I use a Mac so it may be different. As for the track bolts, I usually use a 1/2 to run them down snug and then turn them with my industrial 1 inch gun a couple of flats. I doubt very many readers on here understand just how different a...

Pulling engine on a 763 Bobcat

This is great advice. I have had to replace the pickup tube in the fuel tank before on a Bobcat and with the engine and pump out now is the time to do it. I can't believe all the small rocks that I found in this thing. I will carry it out with my fork lift and wash it again with the engine...

Pulling engine on a 763 Bobcat

Thanks. I went out after lunch and pulled it in about 4 hours. It was just how you describe. I will post pictures later.

What do you do with junk rubber tires?

These guys have been a good source for me regarding used case parts; http://www.sewlparts.com/ There website sucks but they know their Case parts.

Pulling engine on a 763 Bobcat

I have a good customer that talked me into fixing his 763 Bobcat. I don't usually work on small equipment but this guy is a valued customer and he asked me to do it. I have never had the engine out of one. I assume you pull the engine and the drive pump and cradle all together? Is there any...

    Track bolts

Do it on the machine. Put the machine on stands and use a jack to turn the rails. Years ago (20+years) I did two D8's back to back and this worked well. As for your loose pads, cut the bolts off with a torch.

    Alternative Fuels

A lot of the presuppositions that form opinions on this subject are based on biased research. For years the enviro-nazis have pushed their agenda thru propaganda that has been forced fed down our throats. I have read many about scientists that have stated if they did not follow certain...

    Engine revitalisation Gel

aussie-farmer, you would be much better served to find the source of your problem and repair it rather than delaying the inevitable by "thickening" the oil thru the use of this "gel". I read the claims made by the manufacturer of this product and they simply do not pass the honesty and...

    Buying a Rock Truck

A wheel barrel is better than the Terex. I have seen my customers have good service from Cat 300D's and 300E's.

Allis Chalmers Reversed Tractor with loader (Pictures)

Death, looking for a place to happen. My best friends dad is a paraplegic due to a mishap with a loader similar to this. Do not use this until you have some kind of substantial cab protecting the operator. If you are not an experienced fabricator have someone that is inspect what you plan to...

    Oil supply

Peak oil is a theory, and a weak one in many an educated persons opinion. Let me pose a question;Does anyone think certain persons might just possibly (I know it would be a rarity) be using oil production and estimates about reserves to further their own agendas? Read here...

    Mechanic toolbox ? confused

Yes they are. They were made by Waterloo at one time. If you have cash watch Craigslist closely. You can pick up a good box for .30-.50 cents on the dollar many times. I have owned many Snap-On boxes. I bought all of them when they were discounted deeply (from dealers meetings, guys going...

    Mechanic toolbox ? confused

Well load each one of them up with a bunch of tools, bang the drawers open and shut for a month or two and you will know what the difference is. The Sears professional line is much better built than the Craftsman stuff. I believe Waterloo is the maker. Search Craigslist with cash in hand and...

    The pulse of America

Dave, I figured it would be hard to understand that loans were given to those who couldn't afford it but believe me friend that is exactly what was happening. If a family cannot come up with 10-20% down what will happen to them when not if a problem arises? Default. If I understand you...
