    If it's banged up from rocks where the two surfaces meet I've taken an angle grinder with a cutoff blade and ground lightly all the way around with the edge toward the cylinder to remove any burrs from dings that could impede loosening the end cap.

    I've used a large pipe wrench with a 12' snipe and also once used my gland wrench with a 12' snipe. They can sure be a bear to get loose.

    I've straightened a few the diameter has a lot to do with how successful you are. Shorter stabilizer rods are the most likely to explode when trying to straighten but I've had one done successfully at a hydraulic shop. The one's I've done myself were like the one in the pic. with a 20 ton press...

    Ride Control

    My 580 SM has never bounced on the hwy with ride control regardless of speed . I often road it 20 30 miles to jobs and average speed works out around 20 mph and up to 40 down some hills.

    Cat 416 series 2 backhoe died today while running at full throttle. 10amp ignition fuse blew and now blows out all subsequent replacement fuses.

    Hook the wire to it and tie it open. You can leave it that way to to shut off just idle turnoff key and stall the machine by deadheading a leaver. Or you can just unhook the wire & the fuel will shut off.. When the plunger is pulled the valve is open.

    You can run the machine holding the solenoid open with a piece of wire in the meantime.

    Case 580 Super M Series 2 fuel filter replacement

    30 sec priming mine until the airs out and it fires right up. I never fill the filter.
