    Caterpillar 289d brush cutter issue.....

Update: I changed hydraulic filter and both couplers on machine. Ran brush cutter for a good 20/30 minutes with NO ISSUES!! . Cut open old filter and it looked brand new. I'm starting to think my issue was my couplers on my 289d. They would leak a little overnight whenever I had...

    Caterpillar 289d brush cutter issue.....

My serial number is CAT0289DVTAW02740. Heymccall, I do not think it's a fuel issue. Machine runs good. I purchased it with 3015 hours on it and that is when the fuel, oil, and hydraulic filters were changed. It now has 3060 I think. Thanks for the replies!

I have a 2015 Caterpillar 289d cab machine with hi-flow. Brush cutter is a wolverine 72" normal flow. I press continuous hydraulic flow switch and proceed to lock it in with the thumb roller switch on right joystick. Mower starts, but slows way down, and sometimes will even stop when trying...

Caterpillar, can you raise cab with engine running?

Curious to know if you can raise cab with engine running? Or, can you start engine while cab is up? I have a small hydraulic leak and was curious about the answers to the above questions. Figured it might be easier to spot when engine is running. Leak is underneath at belly pan...

    A few caterpillar 289d???'s

I own a 2015 Caterpillar 289d XPS Hi-flow machine. I bought it used and it had 3015 hours. I believe it has every option available for that year, if that matters in any of the questions. I was reading the older posts on ride and torsion axle issues with grease. I took off all 8 bolts on...

How do I determine if I need new sprockets on my CTL?

Midwest equipment gave me this gauge when I ordered new tracks. They may sell you one for a couple of bucks. Worth a try.

    Aftermarket CTL tracks

I just sold one of my old tracks on my old 277 for $100. I do not have any experience with Prowler, but have purchased 2 sets from MWE and have been completely satisfied so far!

How do I turn on continuous flow Cat 279C???

I've watched that video numerous times and tried it, but didn't work. I'm thinking one of the switches overhead needs to be turned on.
