Mitsubishi mm30sr

can anyone help me with my mitsubishi mm30sr ???
the joy sticks wont work or the spin pedal but the blade and tracks do,
i have exhausted my efforts on what i can do. im new to this machine and would like to make it work so i can use it for my yard.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same machine with the same problem. I am pulling my hair out overthis thing. Have you tried the flow sensors on the valve bank? That is my next approach. Any info is needed.

The controls are electronic controls with no small fluid lines involved. The tracks and blade are direct mechanical linkage to the valve body and are functioning. It has a two piece boom which when used brings the crowd closer to the cab. So an "interferance prevention system" is used to protect the operator from the bucket impacting the cab.

You should have a lever on the left tower that you lower to engage the joysticks to function. Inside that tower should be a switch with a little roller ball on it. That switch is probably bad. It definitely sounds like an electrical problem. If you do not have that switch, which you may not because the MM and MX series Mitsubishi's are gray market machines and don't have the same safety features as US market machines, then it's probably in the controller. The controller will be either in the right tower or under the seat (I'd have to look at the book)

I have a copy of the Diagnostic Manual for the Electronic system for Mitsubishi MM30SR , MM40SR , MM55SR , MM55SR-2 These were translated from the original Japanese. Also have parts manual for MM30SR. Does anyone know how I could reach these guys? Thanks td6man

If you are inquiring about contacting Rhine, they can't help with the excavators.
They are parts distributors for the dozer, grades and wheel loaders.
These mini-Mitsubishi's have no parts or service support in the USA.
When you sit down do you have to lower the towers on each side where the joysticks are located?
Some of them swivel as one and utilize cables to accomplish this. The safety switch on that set up is behind the seat in the housing for the swivel (tilt) mechanism.

Some of these machines had cabs, others had a canopy.
I would need more information in order to help you.

MM30SR Fix

I could make some copies of the manuals. They were pretty expensive and I would not mind sharing the cost. How would I reach you? Was it hard to convert to manual linkage and joysticks? I'd like to see pics of that fix. Most of the time the problem is just oxidized connections. In my case it was just the secondary ground connection going to the brain. You need to check the fuses and clean them, bat connections and all grounds for corrosion. It only takes a little rust, oxidation, corrosion to stop controls from working. The plugs (male and female) on the brain need to be carefully cleaned and tightened. Also the control switch under the seat sometimes gets oxidized or goes bad. How can I reach you? check the switch that changes the ISO to SAE controls if it is equipped , some times it gets stuck in the middle and nothing works .

I have a mm40 sr and would be very gratefull to get hold of manuals 4 it & a lead on spare parts. Mine has a computer with an lcd display on the right hand side. it is hooked up to sensers on the boom and has half a dozen buttons on it written in japanese. i have had huge troubles with the little computer with the lcd display, it showing up error codes and buzzing, each time it happens it locks down all controls except tracks & blade. I have had dry solder joints in the computer, poor connections, and sensor trouble. Does anyone know how to bypass this bloomin computer or tell me what it is for.

The microswitch on the left side armrest could be the culprit. It's screwed up a few times on my MM35B.
For you guys looking for parts and manuals, the best thing you can do is get the cat parts manual for the year machine you have. For instance my MM35B is a cat 303.5, they were built on the same assy. line in Japan, the MM40 is a cat 304 and so on.
I have purchased more than a few parts from Cat for my machine.

What error codes Wayneo?

What error codes are you getting when it locks up? Try cleaning the extra small ground wire coming off the brain ( computer) where it grounds on the frame. That has given me a problem in the past. If that does not work clean all the small pins and sockets on the plugs going to the computer. They will build up oxidation over time. Also the control switch under the seat SAE--ISO will corrode. And of course the switch on left arm rest. Good Luck if you post error codes I look them up when I get time.

I got some parts for my MM40SR through H&R Construction Parts, Edmonton AB, Canada, or the US branch in Buffalo NY (800-333-0650) about a year ago. They ordered them through Rhine Equipment Company. I dealt with Scott at 877-543-0094 (email was smarshall@hrparts.com), he was very helpful. You should be able to get manuals from them, but they are in Japanese.
