Chat does not like Unix.
Hello.
This chat clearly does not like Unix (Mac OSX) or Linux (Kubuntu).
And, it is not all that fond of Windows 98, not that anyone really runs that anymore.
It does like Windows XP, like what you might find on a Topcon unit.
Now, who the hell would load a full browser onto a Topcon unit!

Enhanced Graphics in Chat.
Hello.
This is how to do Enhanced Graphics in Chat.
To Use Bold text in your message, simply press the Ctrl + B keys, together, at the point in your message where you want the bold effect to begin. If you want the bold text to revert to normal before the end of your message simply press the Ctrl + B keys together again at the point where the effect will end.
For underlined text press Ctrl + U where you want the under-line effect to begin and press Ctrl + U again at the point where you wish the effect to end. This can be combined with other effects. Pressing Ctrl + B then Ctrl + U will create Bold, Underlined text.

A link in chat can be made clickable by simply adding a command and placing the link within.
http:///www.google.com/
Simply clicking on this will take you to google.
The same is true with chat, simply do the link code, insert your URL, and do the link command once more to close.

Well this thread dates from 2009.
There once was, but if I recall correctly, it didn't work super well, and was eliminated during some update or another. (Either that or it broke completely and nobody bothered to fix it. See, HEF isn't so different from the industry at large.) Anyway, some of the guys were using some other platform to chat after that, but I haven't heard any mention of it in quite some time.

Second one died too unfortunately, It had glitches and locked a couple of us out.
been there done that and then divorce and back to peace n quiet... next idea..LOLGet the Wife pregnant & have 3 kids ........ Instant chat room in real time .

If there is interest I could help the mods setup a discord chat. It was designed for gamers/nerds, but it works pretty well as a general chat client. Client can be used in either web-based or stand alone form. Alternatively there is a chat plugin for Xenforo, but that would be way more work. https://discordapp.com/
