after nearly 30 years of using blaw knox pavers theyve finally pushed me over the edge. I will be moving away from the blaw knox LeeBoy brands forever and encourage all to do the same. They have absolutely no parts support or service support in Indiana and the corporate office recommended i use a company for my service that is 2 states away! That will be handy in the heat of the paving season. I should have changed years ago. i would love to hear some input on which commercial class pavers you like and recommend.

I guess it depends on what choices you have . A list of choices would narrow down non applicable makes of machines

Bomag has the Ceader Rapids line. Service in Oklahoma is good. they have dealers in your area. Let me know if you get any feed back from your area as I have
customers all over. Email me and I could help some on the electronics

I have really good tech support for the Leeboy brands here, but I get it straight from the factory. I believe I know more about the pavers than my local dealer does though. Parts can be a bitch sometimes, but overall they have been decent. It sounds like your dealer may be the biggest issue.

Vetech, you are correct, dealer is biggest issue or lack there of. there isnt one in indiana anymore. I feel like that is the factories fault for not maintaining a dealer. I talked to Bo, product support at HQ, and the national service manager i believe, and i also spoke with Bryce who is the North American general manager. all were very polite but zero help. recommended i use a dealer in St Louis for my service. Im in Indiana.

Im getting ready to email my tech support guy at Leeboy for an electrical schematic on a 8515C I need. I will ask him about tech and parts support for the Blaw Knox side. It maybe just getting to the right person. We will see.

I need to know what brand and model machines you have. That info will determine the direction I send you.

We have used cedar rapids for years, Terex now. They purchased a leeboy for doing driveways 3 years ago, and dealer support is good, but parts are always slow coming. Think they are regretting not getting another cedar rapids. The 20 footer is too heavy for private work, so for now they are stuck with the leeboy. We have a Maulden maintainer grader, are their asphalt spreader any good?

We work out of Atlanta and our dealer is in Lake City. They have been very helpful throughout the years. The head mechanic has happily answered most of my troubleshooting questions or pointed me in the right direction. Sounds like something is going on with the dealer you're working with imo.

I don't know where in Indiana you are. We were the supporting dealer after Volvo acquired BK along with Ingersoll-Rand road equipment. After we closed shop, the surrounding dealers were supposed to step up. That would be Rudd in Indiana.
Now if you're closer to Chicago, try finkbinder equipment. They were the BK dealer before. They may be able to help you.
If you continue to have difficulty, pm me and I will see if I can help at all
