I wasn't offended nor was any of my comment directed towards anyone in particular, I just find it intriguing that people will watch a show that they don't like.

When i seen Parker's guys hit the excavator bucket together when *the Season was over* I thought to my self if those guys where my employees doing that i would fire their asses on the spot! Man they are hard on those machines.

Naw, it looked pretty gentle to me, especially compared to ramming into frozen ground. Just boys being boys.

would be good for parkers lot to actually fit the safety pin in the quick hitch on the volvo before someone gets killed

It depends on who you talk to as to the availability of the 575. I had asked a Komatsu engineer at minexpo or conexpo, I don't remember which, and he said it would no longer be actively marketed, but they would still build one of you wanted it. Then I had a guy from Australia tell me quite emphatically that they were discontinuing the 575 and it doesn't matter if you want to order any number, they won't be available.

I don't know who to believe.

When I worked for SMS Equipment, I asked our mining salesman the same question. He told me that yes in fact Komatsu would build you a 575, but you had to commit to 6 machines and pay up front or something to that effect. It has been a few years now, I'm sure that it has changed as I'd bet there would be a thread here showing off the new iron at some mine site.

There was an article in the Komatsu news letter over here about 2 yrs ago that showed a new 575 being delivered to a gold mine in West Australlia so they must still be available.

Well it's that time of the year again. Time for the show that makes me annoyed every time I watch it, but yet I dvr it every week.

I see the producers still think a 460cl Volvo cost $160k and has the engine of a 70's d9.
They will say d10 this d10 that, but never give reference to the 2 different komstsu dozers shown. One being a d475a-5 and the other looks like a d475a-2?
