1. How do I tighten up the Tracks on my T190 machine?
2. How much up/down vertical movment should the tracks have on the top/center track after there tight?
3. How much motor oil does the engine need to fill back up after an oil change?
4. How do I check the hydro oil and where is the dipstick located?

Any help would be GREAT!!

Thanks'

Remove cover plate on side of track frame, just in front of drive sprocket. You'll find a grease fitting in there. Pump grease into fitting and it extends the track adjusting cylinder. I just tighten the tracks until there's a little sag in them, don't tighten until there's no sag.

Not sure about the oil change quantity. Somewhere around 1 3/4 gals.

Hyd oil level is a sight glass on left side of machine. Below cab and above rubber track. Might be covered in dirt right now. Add oil at back of machine. Raise the perforated grille above engine, where radiator and oil cooler is. You'll find a filler neck in there for hyd reservoir.

Tighten the tracks but pumping grease to the fitting located behind the cover, 2 bolts, located near the middle of each track unit. To tighten correctly you should raise track off the ground (block the back of machine and curl bucket to lift machine). Probably a couple of inches of play is sufficient measured at the bottom.

The engine will need about 8 quarts of 15w40 after oil and filter change.

Check the hydro oil at the sightglass on the left (i think) side of the machine. located midway on the main frame and just above the track. The fill for the hydro is accessed by opening the tailgate, raise and remove the radiator shroud, fill is located on lower left, with rubber plug for cover.

when tightening tracks on a t190 i usually look for about 1 1/2 or 2 inches of play in the track under the seconds idler from the back

Hi, Im a new member. I own 2005 t190 with 500 hrs on it. Was left with salty sand in the cab. Rotted out some of the tin at the upper section of floor. Is there a fix? new part?how about a new seat any ideas?....

Yesterday I noticed that the RH large rear idler on my T190 was wearing distinct grooves every 2-3", Ill try and get a pic posted. Is the track just too tight? Other idlers look fine. Put <200 hrs on it since i bought it bout yr n half ago and i have never adjusted the tracks. Just noticed the wear, not drastic, but noticeable.

No I have not had a chance to get a pic and upload it. After a couple hrs of heavy use, i felt the bearings and didnt really think there was enough heat for trashed bearings. Loosened the track a bit to no avail. So as Dan told me right off the bat, guess it has to be bad bearings. I've read a lil but im gonna ask it again, OEM or aftermarket idler? Im the owner/operator and try to be mindful to always drive both tracks the same way, even if ones just barely movin. I very very rarely spin the tracks in opossite directions unless absolutely necessary. i hope this will extend UC life in the long run. Thoughts? Don't like the oil filled idler design, its my opinion that they would be better if they were grease-able, but i am surly no expert. If i could just get current job finished making plans on really going over whole UC and checking bearing behind sprocket that ive read so many horror stories about as he has 1732hrs. Side note; I poked the grease zert with a packing puller tool (very fine sharp pointed screwdriver) to loosen track up. Any substitute for tool in book &/or how does the relief fitting work?

I did use Willie's instructions on adjusting the creep out of it, thanks for making it idiot proof! Nice to jump out and not have to kill it! I really didn't expect it to be that touchy, and still needs a little fine tuning, I was in a hurry as machine is or at least was in use. New thread for that.

If my memory serves me correctly BC T190 book says 1/2"-5/8" of deflection (sag) is recommended under middle bottom idler when on blocks. Kinda seemed a lil tight to me but pretty sure thats what it says.
