How do you use manual slope mode on a Spectra LL300?

Hey guys, I just got the Spectra LL300 level, and I don't know how to use the manual slope
for grading....I don't have the remote, maybe I need the remote to set a slope...
Any tips on this would be great...thanks

Ok I think I know how to work It now, I meant to say slope matching

Pretty sure that you need the remote. If you don't let me know as I have one of these sans remote (which I've been meaning to buy)
