hello all,
just found this board, looks awsome so far.
started out running tractors on the farm, i will never forget the day grandad finally called me an operator... not a driver!!!
well grandad sold the farm. actually the bank made him..lol.
i have run the full gamut of different operating jobs, from the farm, construction, maintenance,to now a very different type of operation, landfills! not bad job, great benefits, big fish in small pond.lol....lot of inexperienced people to deal with but so far has been great job.
nice to see to read about other guys problems, experiences ,ect. ect.great board glad i found it!!

Most people are never able to do what they enjoy for a living. I consider good management, foresite and some luck in being able to do what I enjoy. I labor harder, longer and make less money than I ever did, but life is good. So yes it is a great thing to get paid for what you like to do, even if your not making a lot of money. By the way that quote is from confucius if you didn't know.

I've been a fan since the early 70s, I used to watch the games with Granddad over Thanksgiving. I haven't been able to follow this season yet, I was keeping track of the Nextel Cup Series. Now that that is over, I plan to catch the games!

Welcome farmerted44. We look forward to your input. Real good folk here.
Steelers are my second favorite NFL team. Can't believe the ravens won either. I think the Colts will hand them their lunch this week too.
