anyone know what i can spray on a field to get rid of poison ivy,
Napalm.
but won't kill the grass.....
Oh. Never mind....
But seriously, I don't know whether there is a chemical agent that'll do that or not. I know there are agents the lawn companies use for "broadleaf weed" control, that they apply right to the lawn. Whether they'll work for the poisonous stuff you mention, I don't know.
And as to my suggestion of napalm, I also understand that burning it can be bad, if you inhale the smoke. I know firsthand about what happens if you run branches through a log chipper that have lots of that stuff hanging on them, and then get covered in the dust that's blowing out of the chipper. It's not a good thing...

Broadleaf weed killer should take care of it. If this field is to be mowed, regular mowing will cause it to fade away too.

I wasn't sure if broadleaf killer would take care of the ivy's...i'll try it on a section.
i brush hog this 5 acres about twice a year...& get poison ivy about twice a year. :crying :cussing
I use my neighbors air conditioned NH TL70 for most of it, but cut the perimeter along the tree line with another tractor(open ROPS) cause he doesn't like scratches on it...me neither :spaz
Just checked a label, any broadleaf weed control with the chemical 2-4-D is labeled to control poison ivy. Follow the label instructions. You may need a pesticide license to apply it, not sure exactly how the PA pest. regulations differ from here so can't say for sure.
