Now looking at some trailer catalogs for skid steers it just seamed funny on those ramps to load your skid. You have a trailer that is rated to carry say 12K lbs right but the loading ramps are only rAted for 7Klbs so that means you can not really carry a machine more than 7klbs?? This just struck me as odd why the ramps could not carry as much as it could be loaded to considering it's made to carry equipment and not be just a flat bed. ??

I'd have to guess that it's either a matter of the left side ramp and the right side ramp each being able to carry that 7000 lbs., or if it's just a single, full-width ramp, that it's short enough that part of the weight of the equipment will either be on the ground or on the trailer at any given time. In other words, at no time will the ramps be required to hold the entire 12,000 lb. capacity that the trailer is good for.
Make sense?
