this crane was on hire from central to kiewit. it was working at ohare airport in chicago.

needless to say, it is down for a while. it is a 12 or 14000 manitowoc.
ironically, manitowoc was known as a submarine builder in ww2.:eek:

11 inches of rain in i day. the crane was working in the bottom of a huge retention pond.:Banghead

yep looks like it holds water! Im suprised someone dident crawl it to to top when the rain started! I remember that day, that was alot of rain, we only got like 6 inches down here in joliet!

i guess the operator suggested crawling out but the e-joo-ma-kated engineer bosses said it would be fine. doh!

Musta been some heavy lifting since it does'nt have very much boom in it...but then again it looks like a single part line??

Two singles and a short boom usually means a Clam.
