Your guy wouldn't happen to be Rocky Mountain Wood, would it? They had one on our subdivision, it sure got the job done even when the Hydro-Ax was still clearing the road out for it.

That is one good pic there, sure shows how good of a machine they are. They were sure built to last out in the woods.

yup rocky mt does our work, they are actually my job right now grinding stumps, the Cat FM excavators they use also some heavy duty units, their newest 330C FM is built like a D8

Thoes TC skidders are nice. But I have a problem with that picture. The arch on the Cat is all the way up as high as it can go. The TCs is down a lot lower. Big leverage diffrence there.

I bet that picture could have been staged to go either way. Put the Cat arch low, and TC arch high, opposite outcome.

I want to see the pic a few seconds after that one, as it looks like the Cat grapple is nearly off the end of the log. Hope the operator has his belt tight.

i saw my uncle have a JD cable skidder up in the air like that pulling a tree and then the choker broke... I had no idea that a skidder could bounce that high
