I am Bill and our company has been grading sidewalks as a sub to general and concrete contractors for about 9 months.

Found this step of the land development/site prep projects to be nobodys favorite. We have been able to make everyone we work for happy with our new way.

Is anyone out there aware of all the screwing around associated with getting the sidewalk grade ready for the concrete?

Or are you a concrete contractor that has to digout the high spots?

thats pretty damn slick.. what kind of prices would a fully set up unit such as the one in the video set a person back.. ? just curious not trying to steal work.. kinda hard since im in indiana anyway.. but thats a great idea!

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone. We worked in the site prep/land development business and just saw a better way to do the sidwewalk grade
To answer some questions.

1. I found the forum at a site called Dirt Talk (yahoo groups)

2. List price for the SGS 2000 including the Komatsu PC50 and TOPCON slope sensing is $95,000.

3. An extension for reaching sidewalks that are further out from the curb is included.

We manage to stay busy because we are fast and the generals and concrete contractors love us. On a good day the machine earns $300/hr.
