well the job i got driving isn't paying the bills, so i'm helping out a guy i worked for when i was in high school. i'm gonna help him out on sat and sun getting the fields ready for planting.

PLOWING?????:Banghead Who does that anymore? Hes not planting anything, hes just disking to wipe out the weeds, and prepare the seedbed for the planter. Looks like ya got that disk set pretty agressive! Nice pics!

Where I come from "supervisors" like that, at that distance are shot on site!

after 9hrs of driving around i finished, i was taking the rye down, the truck with fertilizer will come by then the field will get turned over again "lightly" then planted. all the fields will be corn silage its a dairy farm. when i work there 10years ago we hardly plowed unless it a new field, the offset harrows work better and dont pull all the stones up. used to use the 1466 he as on these harrows i think the 1466 pulled it better the 5088 as no sack

the coyote was alot farther away than it looks that zoomed in all the way with my camera, in this town its to delveloped you'd have everybody calling the cops if they heard a gun shot as it is every one who as a house around the farm bitch about the cows or smell even though the farms been there since the 20s. me being the way i am i would alway spread manure all winter in the fields that border houses, the way i look at it dont buy a house in the " country" ( using that very loosely) and than bitch about the country air

Jimmyjack, fill me in on the home-made drag ur pulling. Is it a telephone pole? Looks like you need either a smaller tractor or a bigger disc!

yea its a telephone pole, it works nice its got enough chain so you can adjust how much dirt it drags. maybe if it was a 5488 it would have the sack to pull at the speed i'd like, and bigger disks would be more of a hassel as it is this sets 14ft and most of the lanes on the back roads are 12ft and some are 10ft

a couple from this weekend,i did the field from the first posts over again and did this little five acre field

That's nice ground yer pullin' all we have is this red clay mixture that after a season is hard as a rock again.

well all the fields got done about three weeks ago, and he started baleing hay and i stopped by today, and went down to this field off the farm to pick up a couple bales.
i love this skid steer nothing pretty anymore but i think it is one of the better rubber tire machines out there, very stable and visablity is real good

I see ya did the old "push em up with the bucket" LOL Whith all the money that farmers have in there pockets, you would think he would buy a spere for the skid.

The poor skidsteer, hes almost pushed off the trailer. Nice pics though.

Why kill animals on site? Its not like they drink the diesel or pinch tyres, or anything.

yeah since all of us farmers are gettin so rich of this modern day gold rush that has just went through we can just go out and buy what ever we want......ps sometimes you have to use what youve got

little update about the skid , hes still got that one but he just bought (last year) a deere 317 skid pretty nice but i havent ran it
