Have an ex60 hitachi and after sitting outside the oil in the swing motor appears milky. I changed it once and was wondering if there was a secret to flushing it so the oil stays clean. The location of the drain makes it a challenge to start with. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. TIA. Kevin

changing the oil when it is hot is better ,but i don't know ur machine, on my volvo it is simple it has a drian hose on the underneath side ! It sounds like water is getting in somehow thats why its milky make sure the rubber on the dipstick is good! my machine sets outside all the time i have not had a problem i use 75-90 synthetic oil .. you may look to see if you can use a drain hose and route it in a place thats simple to get to just be sure all the oil will drain out and the hose don't rub or interfear with anything else when in use... hope that helps ya...
