Why is it that though I have myself NOT subscribing I constantly get emails that someone had replied to a thread I subscribed to? I go to my CP and make sure it's set proper, then next day I get an email saying "someone replied to thread you subscriped to"?

It's petty, but I'm tired of the constant paper trail for every thread I look at.

Go to your user CP and click on "Edit Options" and find the box "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and change the settings.

If you have the notification set to "Instant Email Notification" in the area that Squizzy spoke of, it automatically subscribes you when you reply to a thread.
You can change that setting to "No Email Notification" and you won't recieve any at all. Make sure you click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page when you're finished.

You can also click on "List Subscriptions" in the menu on the left of the Control Panel and un-subscribe to whatever thread you don't want to be notified about.

Well I have it set for 'no subscription'..........so I assume that means I'll get nothing? Ain't work yet. Maybe the sun/moon aren't in phase yet for me LOL!!

Just double checking....but you are clicking "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page, correct?

And yes, "No Subscriptions" means you won't get anything.

Yup, everytime I go there I hit "save".

The good thing is I haven't gotten any thing for this thread. Maybe it's working now? It's been hit/miss the last few weeks since I started posting here. Yesterday I got three emails about replys, but today nothing.

Hmmmm.

I went in and looked at your settings and you're not supposed to get notification. I don't know why you are. Perhaps you could log out and back in and see if that helps?

Well, as of today it's the first time I didn't get notified. Thanks for checking Steve.
