Went to vote at 9:00 am and had to wait in line. Doesn't anybody have a job? LOL
First year I ever had to wait more than five minutes to vote. Stood in line for about forty minutes. Still using punch cards here. How did your voting experience go?

Surprisingly enough, I had no wait at all here. My wife and I went around 5 p.m. There were four machines, (first time I've used the touch screen voting machines, which was an interesting experience), but I only had to wait about thirty seconds for one to open up.
By the time I was of voting age, they had gone to machines where you went behind a curtain and you flipped a little lever for each person you were voting for, and then pushed a red button, which recorded all your votes, and caused the curtain to open. I've never used punch cards at all.
I was recalling to my wife that when I was a kid, Dad worked the polls. I remember sometimes having big sheets of purple paper to draw on--they were the leftover paper ballots from the election. Sometimes we'd turn them over and use our crayons to put X's in the boxes. I wonder who I voted for?

I voted at 7 am, there were about 20 people there. My wife went tonight and had a short wait
My fire company is a polling place and the parking lot was full at 9:00 am. Usually there are only a few at that time.
The results are tallying now, I'm optimistic on the outcome!
