If I was that guys boss it would be your fired get your stuff and leave. You don't do stupid stuff like that all it takes is one slip and the machine could have been on its side or upside down.

It makes you wonder where peoples brains are

This guy needs a good slapping!

Nah, no need to slap him around. He just did it to himself, just wait a few years till he can hardly walk from the damage he did to his back from dropping the back of the machine like that, then just point and laugh.

He probably compressed every vertibrea (sp) in his back dropping the machine like that.

I tend to agree, that would be the last day! I would also keep a copy of the video to show the workers comp people in case he tried to say her was hurt ar work.

I just wonder why anyone would think that is cool or fun. I'll bet they have never fixed the machine either.

Hey RT
I'll be back at the Oak mall Tues or Wed working for Bali.
Getting a long stick for the 245.
Guess I'll be digging 30+' pulling a shield...
Can hardly wait!

got me fired. i guess my boss watches youtube lol

 Try explaining to your next employer why you got fired.

Ive seen quite a few vids of people doing stoppies in loaders. Makes me wonder who in their right mind would allow them to run their equipment.

I've done donuts while doing snow removal with a loader and played bumper trucks while plowing while the owner was watching. At a different company a wheel dozer hand was hitting end dump piles in 4th so hard dirt would fly over the cab and called the owner and told him to watch this. There is probably a lot of things I'm forgetting too. No one lost there jobs and the owner was laughing their butts off. Was it stupid yes and we're lucky we didn't anyone hurt, but sometimes ya have to lighten up. I do this job because I'm just a big kid playing in the dirt.

Flame away.

Hello.

The only thing I can agree with is that we are both big kids.
But, I take care of my "toys".
And I understand that the equipment can kill.
Do you think you are paying attention when you do this type of stunt?
What if you misjudge and kill someone?
I remember a sticker from long ago, "This Equipment Pays Your Salary, Take Care Of It."
And, somebody has to pay for all of the broken parts, guess who pays? not the boss.
All I can say is this, stay away from my toys!

Good, i hope hes sore after that crazy stunt. You'll probably find his girlfriend was there, egging him on, or he decided to show off. What a crazy move, honestly, and its just stupid too.

I wonder if a employer can have a operator arrested for criminal mischief. attempted suicide, destruction of property, and risking a catastrophe???

When I got on my first piece of equipment I considered it a privilege that anyone trusted me with something that costs so much money. That kind of abuse is just uncalled for. Someone should have taught this guy the meaning of the word "Respect"

Yes there was a happy ending.... the cathouse got to sell some parts to somebody and a mechanic got to spend some time away from a nagging wife....

Some comments on here are ridiculous, its too easy to say thats awesome when your not the one paying for others stupidity. If I were an employer seeing that I'd fire him, and make sure every other company around watched that video. The guy video taping is no better. I don't think anyone could be killed in that scenario, but it makes wonder what else this tool does while the boss is away.

Hello.

When I was given my first machine, a roller, I all but bonded with that thing.
Always checked to oil and water, "feeding" it as needed.
Anything wrong and I would report it right away.
When it was quitting time I would check everything.
First thing in the morning, check everything.
Each and every time.
To see something like this, sorry SOB!

did you see the right rear wheel when it came down. there are at least a few broken parts in that hub or axle, or soon to be. the operator could have fallen out if not wearing his seat belt or door open. hopefully doing that stuff he would have the common sense to at least put on the belt. but if he was stupid enough to put it on the front wheels probably not

bobcatmechanic
01-31-2010, 12:38 PM
sorry it would be the left rear wheel not the right. right wheel as in the side view looking at it

Cat axles aren't that weak.
They can take a lot of sh*t.

CatMat: Some heavy stuff huh?
Is the operator out of that 993?

I wouldn't dream of running a machine like that. I like to have as much fun as the next guy but I draw the line when it comes to beating a machine and myself. I've been running these machines for 19 years and this is as wild as I get.
Sorry the picture is dark but I am pushing a load and not going down empty.

Destroying an expensive piece of equipment like that can put an operation out of business if the timing was bad. The old adage, "for want of a nail, a war was lost..."

That loader belongs to a company out of Kelowna B.C. I cant remember the name of the company. My buddy was working for them at the time. They couldnt figure out why they were breaking windows in the cab. When the owners found that video on youtube, the operator was fired.

Here is a couple pics from jobs some of our contractors were doing for us. These caused me a ton of time and paper but the real cost was the operator's injuries and psyc issues -- the one operator spent many months on compo and his wife left him. HUGE AND COSTLY !!
No accident is worth the misery !

What do people think? Thats a very very expensive loader, I cannot afford it for my firm, and the operator does that to it? Why did not the owner take the bozo to court for damageing private property? Let that operator eat his attorneys bill and have him laugh about that! At the very least if the owner still has them on the payroll that owners nuts.

Crazy stuff. And don't forget about dropping the old cars 30 feet from the jaws of the bucket on the track hoe. Smash. That is just hilarious.
